I have been told by one of my daughters, after giving them words of wisdom and advice, on the secret to how to maximize their growth of knowledge, how to maximize perpetual personal & intellectual growth in their lives.
The secret I shared with them was simple, was to always practice and maintain a “ Stupid & Humble Mindset “ to always remain a student, a perpetual forever, seeking new knowledge in all areas of life, so that they too will experience perpetual personal & intellectual growth.
What I was trying to teach my daughters, was a few things as follows:
- a way to always keep growing, learning experiencing perpetual intellectual growth
- to never think you know everything because you are stopping yourself from growing
- to never stop someone in middle of conversation, 1st it is disrespectful and tell them essentially to shut up when you tell them to change conversation that you already know what they are talking about
- to always maintain a humility mindset for the purpose of ensuring that you continuously growing and learning
- developing a mindset of always being a student they will put themselves in a position to always remain a student, a perpetual learner, and experience continual personal growth as a human being, intellectual growth and intellectual mental stimulation.
By me sharing these words of wisdom, to my daughters, Jesus my grandson, I am trying to help them maximize their growth as a human being, intellectual growth, excel in their personal business or professional work environment.
I told them you see, actually I am not stupid at all, on the contrary, it’s the opposite, I am highly intelligent, an advanced thinker, because as a result of my philosophy of how I should conduct myself and behave to experience the continuous, life long, personal growth & intellectual growth, excel in being more productive at whatever I do.
Versus those people who have inferiority complexes, egos, that will not ask for feedback, ideas from staff, and do not want others to tell them what to do because they are the manager and do not need to be told how to do their job or improve their way of managing things
So my question, to my grandson, daughter, if you are interviewing 2 people for a managerial job, one practices being stupid & humble and always solicits ideas, advice from other staff members, and the other practices not asking for suggestions from any one ever, because he is confident about himself and needs no advice from anyone, ……WHO WOULD YOU HIRE AND WHY FOR YOUR COMPANY ?
I told them to practice being stupid and humble and that they adopt this philosophy for themselves ,so they will always remain students of every subject in life, and experience continuous perpetual learning, intellectual growth, and growth as a better human being.
I also told them to always listen and shut up to others in a conversation with them who are sharing of information to them already know, and never interrupt that person and tell them “ Oh I already know what you are talking about, no need to go over that lets change the conversation “….
Because you are creating the perfect environment for yourself to stop yourself from experiencing continous perpetual intellectual & personal growth, and committing the BIGGEST MISTAKE … in that when you tell others involved in a conversation with you to shut up, stop talking, to not complete stating their complete thoughts on what they were talking about, because you know what they are talking about and it is a waste of time, what you have done to yourself is STOP YOURSELF FROM REMAINING A STUDENT FOR LIFE and stopping continuous perpetual intellectual growth
A few dynamics are at play here:
you were rude to stop them and tell them you already knew what they were talking about and to change their conversation
you also just stopped yourself from possibly learning something new, one new additional piece of information you didn’t know, had you not stopped that person from completing their full thoughts.
When you allow other people talking with you to complete their thoughts, and don’t tell to stop and change the subject because you know already what they are talking about you are effectively creating for yourself additional opportunities to experience more intellectual growth, more learning of new things from everyone around you, because you are practicing the art of the mindset of being stupid & humble and respecting and never telling others to stop and change conversation because you already know what they are talking about.

Also I mentioned to you the mistake most sales professionals, business owners make they see themselves as a sales professional versus a sales consultant, or a business owner, wrong perception of themselves. They need to look at themselves 1st as a EXPERT & MASTER THE OF THE ART OF LEAD GENERATION, expert offline marketer, expERT direct response marketer, great sales copywriter, etc
Also, to work hard on striving to be a ” WORK IN PROGRESS ” also a ” CONTINUOUS DAILY PERPETUAL LEARNER.
In order to become a continuous work in progress and continuous daily perpetual learner, it will require you to make some changes within your mind, ego, and inner self.

- Always solicit ideas openly in sales meetings or privately always encouraging other team members to come forward and give their ideas on what changes would they make to the current inhouse sales training that would help sales team members increase their house sales closing ratios and earn more money
- Encourage ……… other team members, staff, to come forward and not be shy about giving their ideas on how they too can contribute to and submit ideas that can either help just improve systems that will make staff happier with better improved systems of operations, or submit ideas that will sales teams close more sales and increase their earnings, and more higher profits at end of year for the company.
